Alice Springs
Travel from Alice Springs to Ayers
Rock Resort stopping to view majestic Atila
(Mt Conner) on the way. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a 2-3 hour walk through the domes to the Valley of the Winds (for those with a good level of fitness). Enjoy an 'outback' sunset followed by a glass of sparkling wine and nibbles. Travel to our BBQ venue to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Enquire about vegetarian meals.

Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, whilst the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. Time is available for those keen to take an optional helicopter flight (own expense). This evening view sunset and the changing colours of Uluru whilst enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. |

Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
An
early start from Ayers Rock Resort should
reward us with a magnificent desert sunrise
en‑route to Kings Canyon. Breakfast may
be purchased at Kings Creek Station (own
expense). Make the rocky climb to the
rim of the canyon for marvellous views of
Watarrka National Park. The walk takes
3 hours and is recommended for those with
a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you
may wish to explore the boulder-strewn
canyon floor. Stop at Kings Canyon Resort
to purchase lunch (own expense) before
returning to Alice Springs. |
